Coronavirus - visitor policy as of May 11, 2023

The Federal government has declared the end of the PHE (Public Health Emergency) that was previously in force for the COVID pandemic. 

Connecticut Hospice adjusts its COVID policies as follow:

• Masks will become optional everywhere, but will be worn if families or facilities request their use, or when taking direct care of patients who are symptomatic for COVID or have tested positive.  We support fully the right of any staff member to wear a mask, and hope that those who are symptomatic will do so.
•  We will accept patients who have not been tested for COVID, but will test them ourselves if they appear to be symptomatic.
• Visitation limits will cease, although visitation will continue to be conditional on proper behavior.
• We will no longer ask for a COVID waiver to be signed.
• We will abide by any future vaccination requirements imposed by the State or Federal governments.
